Using Melafix

I bought some melafix today to help with some of the nibbled tails and a nick out of the nose of one of my cichlids also to fix a plecos tail which is now in my community tank it says to treat everyday for 7 days is this right? Also it says remove carbon filters if possible do i really need to remove them as it does say if possible i dont really want to start stripping down 4 filters.

yep treat for 7 days then do a water change. The carbon will strip the meds straight from the water so its pointless treating if you don't remove the carbon.

If the fish are nibbling the tails best off sorting the problem out or it will just keep happening.

The problem will sort its self out once the fish have worked out a chain of command in the tank.
