Hi guys didnt know where to put this so i put it here

Its just a question to ask can you put water in ur tank that has been filtered (filtered as in the filter jugs u get for our conaumption) i just thought it filters out the impuritise yes?
So will it hurt fish as i dnt know what they use in the filter jugs so dnt wont to risk it if it is dangerous

:)

You can use it but it's a very big waste of the filters, they are just tiny carbon filters and don't really remove much anyway. You'd be much cheaper and probably better just using tap water with water conditioner :good:.

Not dangerous, just not really any point :good:.

Personally, I wouldn't use anything from a Brita filter, if that's what you mean. Not because there's something wrong with it but because it alters the water too much. I tested some newly filtered water. It took the pH from 7.2 to off the bottom of the scale (6.0 or lower) and it removed all my KH. My KH is low to start off with and the last thing I want is to have it all removed. The filter also dropped my GH from 9 to 6.

If you look on Brita's website faq section, it says they don't advise using it in aquariums.
