Use Vaseline To Attach A Tank Background?

Is it possible. I dont see how it would be dangerous if its on the outside of the tank.

Has anyone used this method?

How does it work, do you just do to the edges or all over and does it ever need reapplying? never heard of this techinique!!!

Im guessing you put it all over the back of the tank, the 'stick' the background on?!
I think...

yep, and then work the bubbles out with a credit card.
