the car im getting at the end of the month has a usb socket , which can be used to connect mp3 player etc .which can then be controlled via the stereo . if ive got a usb memory stick loaded with mp3s surely i can just plug that into the usb socket and play them from it ?

possibly but possibly not as the car may not even recognise its there as they i believe they are stored differently eg the mp3 stores them as you put them on but id say the best bet is to try and see if not others might be able to help more but the car make may help more as some may have 1st hand experience

i would of thought it would work , as the file type is still the same , ie its in mp3 format ?

forgot about the car lol its a 2011 focus sport

just found the answer . yes it will play them . :good:
