My guppy is giving birth as we speak! Since this is my first guppy birth I have a question Is she supposed to swim frantically around? Right before a baby comes out she goes berserk. Then after the baby drops shes super calm. Is she in pain like humans are when they give birth? Also shes a slow dropper about a baby every 5-10 minutes. My molly dropped 3 at a time. Can anyone let me know if this is normal?

All females are different, but that sounds just like my yellow female when she drops, congrats on your fry so far :)

it may depend on how big she is.if she gets small she may be done but if shes big still she can go up for a week or so.and i had my female give birth some 3 at a time and some one at a time it is very normal.and yes they r supposed to move around like crazy like that,

I hope she is done because I put her back in the regular tank she was just sitting there with nothing to do. She is much smaller now and I believe this is her 3rd day because yesterday I found 2 babies in my adult tank and then earlier today I found two more so that would be a total of 18 babies. Thanks for relieving my anxiety i just wanted to help her so much I felt bad because it didnt look like she was having a good time. My molly was much more calm and just dropped everything in two hours.
