I have a silver shark which I have had for several months along with another silver shark.

The one that I think is ill or injured is a few inches bigger then the other silver shark. 2 days ago I noticed it was swimming very well as it never used its tail to swim and I got really worried. I noticed the smaller shark kept nibbling at it and also hitting it with its tail. I also have a RTBS which is very protective in his castle and if any other fish goes in it like the injured silver shark it will fight it out. So I noticed it must have been in a fight either with the silver shark or the RTBS. But the injured silver shark goes in the castle to rest and then is attacked by the other 2 sharks. When I mean attack I mean it keeps nibbling it and head butting it.
Yesterday I noticed that it had a light red/pinky patch on its belly which I am guessing it proberaly got hurt there therefore it cant swim very well.
I'm worried if it actualy dies! Is there anyway of treating it by medicane?

Can anyone give help?

I dont have a smaller tank to put it in or anything like that!

I would add more caves to the tank.
How many gallons is the tank.
Water stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Red pinky marks can be ulcers, is there a circling of dead white skin around the edges.

Its hard to tell but its fins have been biten

Yeah I'll try and pop in tomorrow at my LFS and get another cave but wouldn't the RTS make that its territory aswell?

I'll have another look at the shark and see if I can see dead skin and post it here and i'll even try and post a pic too!

My tank is

Length: 38 inch
Width: 15 inch
Hight: 14 inch

15 gallon tank

The tanks to small that why they are not getting on.
Red tailed sharks need 40 gallons.
Silver sharks/ bala sharks need 90 gallons..
What other fish do you have in the tank and how many.

I would rehome the sharks.
Need to look at your water stats.

Dam! Theres no way I can afford that unless someone is willing to get rid of one for free :(

but for now is there anyway of treating it? I dont want to sent it to a LFS cos I dont trust them

Thats why its so important to research fish before you buy them
It sounds like an ulcer, anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
You need to get your water tested as if its bad the fish will still carrying on getting ill.
The fish will be stressed not only to bad water quality, but the tank being to small for them.
Red tailed sharks are aggressive they protect the territory.
You really need to rehome then as they deserve the right size tank for there swimming needs.
It will end in disaster if not.
Good luck.
