How many tetras do you have to the minnows.

i have two glowlight tetras and two neon tetras and two golden mountain minnows.
thanks

There lies the problem, all these fish should be kept in groups of 6+ of the same type. The minnows are probably attempting to shoal with the tetras. I have my gold minnows in a group of 8 with loads of other types of tetra without problems, they just chase themselves in their own group. How big is your tank?

Emma :)

once i had 5 white cloud minnows and 5 neon tetras and they shoaled with eachother, it was cool to see these diffrent types of fish swimming as one!

this is my smaller tank, which i have made only for small peaceful fishes,it is a 10 gallon tank.i doubt if i can keep more fishes in this,it already has 4 tetras and 2 platies, minnows are vigourously chasing my tetras specially my neons.shall i separate the minnows and keep them in my bigger tank??my big tank is of 35 gallons and it has barbs, shark, gouramies, swordtails inside .or is it better to keep the minnows with tetras and see what happens? will it be life threatning for my tetras?
thanks
mimi
