I noticed one of my Silver Dollars has some pieces of its fin missing. I will include a picture. The other 2 Silver Dollars seem to have no problems. The fins have got a bit worse over the last couple of days.

Could it be Finrot (or something similar) or fin nipping?

This is urgent for 2 reasons, as today i am going to my LFS, so 1 i can buy medication today, and 2 i wanted to get some more fish (But wont if its someting contagious)

Thanks

Would be good to know what other fish you keep in the tank, plus stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
I would pick a bacterial med up just in case.

if your sure the fish is not being nipped by its tankmates it certainly looks like finrot, but then a fin that has been nipped can develop an infection such as finrot (does that make sense???)
i would treat it for finrot ( see what your lfs has for it) & also melafix is a good healing tonic which can help as well.
i dont think finrot is necessarily contagious but can often develop due to poor water conditions. if possible it would be better to isolate your fish whilst treating it & also be aware that some meds can have some effect fish's ability to get enough o2 so its always a good idea to turn up oxygenation in the tank whilst treating (ie: turn your airpump up or even use an internal filter to create surface agitation as this will help - i have read a few posts where folks have found their fish appear to 'gasp' & look o2 'hungry' when adding certain finrot meds. (interpets fungus & finrot to name one)
good luck

Looks like its been bitten to me. Theres no rays standing out as the fin membrane would go first.

hmm think id have to agree with you there black angel now i look again......the finrot ive experienced (well my fishes) usually has a whitish border around the part of the fin that has the infection & that fishes fins dont have that do they,
maybe melafix would be best to start off with.
