Urgent Help With Plecs

I have just collected my new 55 gal tank and filter. The filter was blocked and full of slime so I was forced to use running water on the baskets and pipes but left the sponges untouched. The tank came with 2 11 inch plecs and 2 gold fish which are in a cooler box. I dont have time to set the tank up tonight. Sould put a heater into the box till tomorrow when I have more time?

I'm more worried about air/filtration! Do you have at least an air pump for them over night?

Two 11" plecs are going to pollute that amount of water very, very quickly. If you really must keep them in there, they'll need at least some kind of filter (and I mean filter: ammonia removal, not air), or you'll very likely have dead fish by the morning

Stay up late and sort these fishies out, dude; they're relying on you

I got the small filter and air pump that is in my quarintine tank. I could always put them in there but it is only a small 5gal tank. Cycled

Well set the tank up, filter running (just hope when I cleaned it I didn't destroy all the bacteria) and added the plecs and the 2 goldfish. Tomorrow the fun begins
