Hi my betta tank has sprung a leak this evening. I have another tank in the loft which would need a good clean and to be set up this evening could take ages or alternatively could I put the betta in my other tank for a couple of days until I can but another one? the bigger tank has 1 blue ram, black neons a hoplo catfish and a kuhli loach.
Any answers appreciated as it is pretty urgent!
Thanks

I would ask in chat as I think the rams and other fish might nip the betta fins.
Plus betta don't tolerate strong currents.
Do you have any big class containers in the house, or even plastic container which is big enough for the betta, as long as you can add a heater and airstone.

huge thanks for replying - I was just about to go to bed when I noticed it! typical.
Do you think he would be ok in a bucket then with a heater and airstone? I would like to get a replacment betta tank rather than setting up my other one just for him as I don't have the space for another 2 foot tank. That could mean waiting until Wednesday though as I probably won't make it to the shop tomorrow. Do you think he would be ok in the bucket for 2 days potentially?\

Thanks

The bucket will be fine till you get a tank as long as you keep an eye on water quality.
Make sure the fish can't jump out.
You must add the airstone for aeration.
Add the tank water so it will be in the same temp.
Good luck.
Also you could ask in the betta section of the forum plenty of helpful members over there.
