im a new fish keeper. ok ill try and look for some sterbai corys, i will ring my near fish shops to see if i can find any...

i will aim at getting 6 then as you suggested also thank you for the great help with this

any other tips, do discus stay or go, hope they can stay

From what I have read, discus are very high matinence fish, and need a larger tank. I would personally get rid of them...

ok thank you, well i will list them on the internet but will also try the forum aswell..

so now do this sound right

get sand and clean it in a bucket.
then put it in when clean and in a thin layer (how deep)
suction cups for my plants
get a external filter (prefer 1 anyway)

also sell discus fish

and buy some corys as discus have gone, so i can pick a few diffrent types

Are you wanting a few different types of corys?

Do you gravel vac when you do water changes? Poop in the gravel shouldn't be causing ammonia problems if you are cleaning it out regularly.

yea i do gravel pump it, its just my gravel was thick and tracking stuff. well im going for the sand and just going out to collect it.

If the discus are under 6 month old they wont appreciate the sand . . . I know you said you will be getting rid of them at some point but ive heard its a no no if theyre under 6 months
