Hey folks!

Wondered if anyone could advise me what to do with my gourami. She is hanging up right at the surface, still eats like a pig, swims quite well, but she has lost colour, and she is almost verticle. Not good signs....My other gouramis are doin fab. :dunno: I dont have a CAE so it cant be him. I do have glass catfish, harliquins, gouramis, a small small eel and SAE's, non of which are bought too mind....any ideas ppl?

Heres some pics.

Is there a male as well? Has he been chasing her or any signs of breeding from him. All i can think of is that fish do this once they spawn and its exhaustion, maybe stress with another fish or maybe its a swimbladder thing. What are you feeding her and what does the poo look like?

Ok, no signs of bubble nest breeding from the male of the tank. He does chase the females though. Cuold be stress inded.... :( I feed them bloodworm, brine, flake and they get very seldom amounst of community diner (i hate it and so do the fish). He poop, i havnt seen any for a week (dont watch them like a hawk). But its frequently the brown colour and normal formation if i do see any.

Can you please post ammonia, nitrite, nitrAte, pH, tank size and how many of each type of fish you have?

Ok, will do when i get home. Last readings were a week ago so there realy no good. The other tank mates include 7 glass cats, 12 rasbora, 4 pearls, 1 eel and 3 SAES. Not that i think its anything to do with numbers. Edit, Its 30gal. Others show non of the same symptoms. And this tank has been set up for years.

ok, pH has dropped, from around 7.5-8 too around 7 as far as my test kits are reading, nitrates are 3-4. nitrite test was inconclusive, so 0.

A ph drop like that in a week isnt a good thing. Fish can suffer from ph shock. What is the ph from your tap water, but dont do it straight from running water use a glass.
