So i upgraded my 29 gallon planted, which prior to upgrading had 1.6 wpg, to 2.75 wpg by adding 2 more tubes. Additionally, i added nutrifin DIY co2 with the ladder, but im guessing it isnt producing enough co2. When the lights are on though, oxygen bubbles are coming off all my plants and the ferns are pearling, which im guessing is a good sign, but i've got gpa and brown hair algae going crazy also.

So, should i add another nutrifin co2 container? Will the PH be ok? And should i worry about too much co2 being produced if i add another? The lights are on a 5-2-5 system too.

thanks

Mitch, i`m no expert (i`m a nooby) but if you know your pH and buy a KH test kit then u can work out ur CO2 levels which should be stable at around 30ppm. If you do this test then you can obviously find out immediately whether CO2 is a problem or if it is something else! This will consequently tell you if you need more CO2!

Nutrients are your friend aswell, read the pinned topic on algae and the other one on co2 :)
