Ok, Well Im Thinking Of Upgrading To Maybe A 20 Gallon Within The Next Couple Days ( For My Platies ) And I Was Just Wondering Whats Better 20G High Or Long And Are If I Got A 20G High ( Just A Standard Glass Tank) Would The Hood From My 10G Fit On It? Thanks

I don't think the hood will fit either of them. A standard 10 gallon is 20" long while a 20 gallon high is 24" and 20 gallon long is 30". You can get the glass cover for a 30" tank for less than about $30. Petsmart has this one online.

Thanks For The Help. Im Thinking Then Maybe I Should Go For The Long

Petsmart sells the 29 gallon starter kit for about $100 and that include everything. If you have room for the 20 long, I would go for a 29 gallon. The footprint is the same, the 29 is just taller.

This is for glass. I haven't priced them in a while. They could be a little higher than that now.

Glad I could help. Now since I'm a Realtor and I have helped your fish find a new home, do I get a commission? Oops, I'm not licensed in Minnesota.

definately go for long instead of tall, this way active fish can zoom around all they want and not stress the other fish as much

i think that depends on how the fish like it since they are the ones who will live in it lol
