So I have a large, square grass mat that was once in my turtle's tank before I took the tank down. I had the idea today to add grass to Bellpepper's tank, and decided to cut pieces of the mat up, and add them in. I think it came out great! And the tank looks so much nicer now, compared to when I first set it up.

This is the tank when I first set it up:

And this is the tank before I added the grass mat:

And here's Bellpepper's tank now, since I added the grass mat earlier:

:good:

looks very nice!

Still cant get over the colour of onion!!

do you have anything slowing the current on the filter?

that can rip up the tail and so can plastic plants.

he looks like a veil tail

Ripped up?? :-(

And I have the filter current turned down as low as it'll go. Tried that plastic coke bottle trick, but my hood is built differently and it wouldn't fit. The current really isn't that strong, he swims straight up to it just fine without getting knocked around.

And I plan on re-doing the tank with live plants, but it'll be a few weeks when I get the extra cash.

he ripped his tail on the plastic plants most likely. a bare tank for a while would be better then one filled with plastic plants.
