Well I thought it'd only be right to have a little update on how things are going with my betta gals since I was so worried about them before.
They all seem to be doing really well.
The newest one still hasn't figured out that I'm the one that brings the food yet, but she will just like the other 3 have heh.
The green/blue one is 100% the dominant female. None of them even flare at her or do that circling/flare thing like before. I'm happy to say that even though she does still chase, it's not that persistant chasing she did at first. She just sorta shoos them away when she feels like it.
My new girl Trixie is still trying to find her place in the pack though. She's been chasing & flaring at the pink ones a little bit. She's been mainly sticking to herself though. It's only been a few days, so I'm sure she'll be fine.
The pink one.. I swear she doesn't care about any of the other girls. She still flares a little bit at the white one (Squeegee), but her eyes are usually on me the entire time always swimming up and down, wigglewigglewiggle, trying to get my attention b/c she wants me to feed her
Squeegee is a bit of a piggy as well, but she doesn't beg like the pink girl does. I mean she'll get excited if she thinks I'm gonna feed her, like if I open the top up, but she doesn't do it constantly or anything. It's pretty weird looking at her up close. Since she is basically white (well more of a very light peach color).. I can see through her body so now I can see the eggs in her. It's kinda gross yet fascinating at the same time lol.
And yep.. that's it! Everything is A-OK so far and I really hope it stays that way lol
Oh and I'm feeding them a diet of frozen bloodworm and frozen brine shrimp. Sometimes they'll get a hikari pellet as well if I feel like they didn't get enough. They are totally loving their food though. It's all gone within 5 mins. They pick the gravel clean
