In March, I changed the tank to suit a more Nature'Scape like that of Amano.

Here's a pic before and after the change.

The tank recently came under attack from BGA. My fault as I didn't stock up with enough plants. I proceeded with a 5day black out and have added fast growers. Nutrients and CO2 are being kept up to give the plants the best. I've also added a drop checker complete with 4 dKH solution to ensure my CO2 levels are correct.
The tank is no way near complete. I'm just having a bit of fun, getting used to the maintenance and growing the plants before I take out all of the fast growers and add the final plants for the proper scape.
Enough talk, here are the pics.

Thanks for looking. Any questions just ask.

when i saw that 2nd picture i thought that was the final tank layout and i went "o man that is ugly" but then i scrolled down... really nice set up goin on there :good: !!!!

I saw that second pic and I thought, there's somebody who's been looking at a lot of Amano tanks. Nice bones you set out, and well filled in afterward. Those Congos are beauts too.

Aw thanks :)
Tried really hard with the hardscape.
Love the Congos too. I have two varieties in there.

Looks great!

That's a nice setup you have, what's the stocking?

Cheers.
3 Harlequin Rasbora
2 Black Widow Tetra
4 Congo Tetra (of which two are the Yellow-Tail variety)
5 Bleeding Heart Tetra
5 Rosy Tetra
5 Pentazona barb
13 or so Cardinal Tetra

It may sound a lot however, the tank has the Juwel filter and an added external filter. The plants soak up a huge proportion of the fishes biomass and each week the tank gets a third to 50% water change.

That tanks looking really smart - looks like tetra heaven to me!

Hey. Thankyou. They do seem to be very happy in there. Colours are fantastic. If only I had soft water from the tap, I bet they'd be breeding :fun:

That's a very nice looking tank, that rosy tetra in the 8th pic is really nice looking, and the last pic really shows off how it looks in situe.

Nice, it's a very colorful tank!

I really like the layout!

That is totally fantastic color on those rosies. You must be treating them like gold. At a first glance earlier today I thought for sure they were serpaes so bright the red, but looking back the markings are rosy. Well done. I want to be reincarnated as one of your fish.
