Yeah.. Well, I've always had luck with bettas! And goldfish! Do your research, and be patient. : D
For bettas, I have about 13 or 14 betta tanks all in all, including the hospital tanks.

But overall, including the bettas, probably 18 or 19.
All well maintained, and I keep the house around 76F degrees at all times.

there well nice i like the secong one and the black one
Thank you! : D

Thank you!!! : D Gorgeous betta<< display picture.

yes he was a stunner he use to change colour he would go bright purple, blue or the colour in his picture
he went pink once too!
and if you walked up to his tank and poked your tongue out he would flare at you

That's adorable! ALL of my bettas do a little "dance" when I walk by, and when I feed them they usually flare up at the container of food. Since it's bright red!

It does work, that and those flower pots are fantastic. They're a great alternative to those piricey aquarium decorations up at the petstore.

Just to be sure anything that goes into the aquarium, as a decoration, is well sterilized and doesn't have any harmful toxins n the paint or something.

are some of you bettas in BOWLS and some in filtered tanks?
if so, do you notice a difference in behavior, well being, longevity?

i always hear such horrible things about bowls, but then i see some people keep them fine in bowls. just curious.

i have 7 betta tanks
1 3 gal eclipse
1 2.5 minibow
1 15 gal betta mansion that was supposed to be for a big show betta, but now has my ACE, a spade tail betta and 2 cory cats
2 6 gal bookself tanks, divided with 2 bettas

I thought about getting a betta for work. Sort of as a mascot....but it would be in a bowl so not sure. My next tank at home will be a hexagon one. I want to see what they look like all set up :)

I have one betta at work, at my store, LEMON.
Here he is on my Desk and my doggie Spike is there "babysitting" him, LOL!
In the second pic, you can see the store in the background.

as for the HEX, i've had several friends who had to ditch them due to problems with too much reflection on all the surfaces and the bettas get too stressed out.

Yes some of my bettas are in bowls and some are in filtered tanks.
Whether or not there is a filter in their tanks is whether or not they prefer it.
Cause some like the current more than others do.
Which is mainly the younger bettas that enjoy the stronger current, and the older ones dont.

All of them remain equally active, and i do a 50% water change for the bowls every week, and a 25% for the filtered ones every other week.
