this eel is getting worrisome. I'm really not sure that this is a halfband. Take a look again. His patterns have changed exuberantly.

and then....

he's getting kinda big, reaching what his max should be, me thinks.... but he makes me a bit worried, so re-iding would be nice.

Then, as usual, a few shots of the queen arab looking good. But this time from the 25. It's been a while since I got real good pics cause I haven't had them in slate caves for a while.

"why have you taken me from my domain!?" Look at that scary glare....

but he was appeased later when He found his court jester made the move with him.

nah, too different from that clear cut pattern, and I saw juvy tire tracks today. Not near the same.

it's how fast his size increased to about what should be his max that's getting to me...

Maybe a darker phased zig zag spiny eel (Macrognathus circumcinctus) perhaps?

At any rate, very beautiful eel. Wish I had a sandy tank to put one in.

he;s grown about an inch since I've had him.....

My first guess was a tiretrack eel as well. My friend had a tiretrack for nearly 3 years and it grew very very fast. It maxed out his 40 gallon tank within the first year and required him to buy a new tank shortly there after.

He has since passed away, but from the looks of those pics and the pictures of his tiretrack they look as though they are the same. If thats the case great eel! they have awsome personalities... although sometimes like to missbehave. Every time he re-arranged his tank the eel would wait for a bit come out and move everything around then go back into hiding.

he looks different than the local tire tracks. That would stink if he was. that'd mean he'll eventually go back.
