unwanted goldfish

i was wondering if anyone had any ideas what to do with a lot of goldfish ?
We have just bought a house and in the garden is a very large pond in which we were told there are two hundred goldfish.
With small children in the family we would like to fill in the pond for many reasons but don't know when and what to do with the fish.
Has anyone got any ideas , guidance?

A friend gave me a tank full of Goldfish a good few years ago, as i was doing the tropical thing i only wanted the tank so i took the Goldfish with permission to a local nature reserve where they have a natural running stream & ponds, so i dumped them in there. Clearly 200 is a huge amount to get rid of

i dont think you should sell them because some pet stores and people mistreat them maybe donate to a local lake or pond

I know about a man who takes in unwanted fish. Are they Koi or just goldfish and how big are they.

Contact the local fish or pond shops and see if they want them.
Sell them online (state pick up only).
See if there is a goldfish/ koi society in the area, if so see if anyone there wants some.
