I got my Synos when they were around 2" have them for around a year and 8 months now. They were very active but mostly nocturnal when I first got them. They used to be in a 50g tank but now theyre in a 120g. A week after living in the bigger tank they started swimming all day n night non stop.

My two synos seem inseperable and just actively swim all day and no longer hides. They still look chunky and pig out during feeding time. They also seem wanting to be handfed (I used to handfeed them when they were little, but theyre bigger now and bigger barbels, seem kinda sharp) Im not complaining or anything since they added a lot of activity in my tank. Im just wondering if this is normal to all Synos when they hit a certain size or age (theyre 6" now) Did I just get lucky that they paired up or just really getting comfortable with the tank?

mine do this if they dont have enough hiding spots. keeping lights on tends to encourage them to come out and forage aswell.

they may be getting use to the tank
