My son has a 35 gallon tank and in it is 2 pink convicts, 1 jack demsey, and 1 green terror. I just noticed today that the pink convicts have little ones and I'm unsure if the other fishes should be in the same tank. i know that the convicts will protect the little ones but I was wondering if I should get something to seperate the other aggressive fish from the convicts family or should I give the other fishes to someone and let the convicts have the whole tank?

Im no cichlid expert but i know that the pink convicts do protect their young and become aggressive to fish of their own kind as well as other fish...If you cant risk getting the baby convicts eaten, you should move them to another tank....By having the Jack Demsey and the green terror, you have greatly overstocked your tank i believe growing to 12 inches and 8 inches respectively.....

Convicts can be pretty aggressive when they breed, so you will definitely want to keep a close eyes on your fish.

Also the jack is going to get way too big and potentially aggressive for that tank. The green terror I'm not sure about. *shrugs*
