I have always found snopes to be a credible website. My votes on the hoax. Either way I wont be opening the e-mail if I receive it.

hoax for sure. I don't think a single one of these "virus warnings" that is communicated by word of mouth/emails with friends turned out to be real. Any time someone says "the virus can't be detected" and/or "there is no fix", that's a really good sign that it is a hoax.
