Unknown Snails?!

Hey,
I've had my tank for just over a month now, and i've had a group of snails pop out of no where, i don't mind them as they aren't particularily a nuisence and they help keep my guppy fry tanks clean.
But i can't tell what type of snail they are?
They are dark brown and have quite a few lighter (but very faint) brown dots on them. They may just be common snails but itd be nice to know what they are
I hope someone can help, as ive tried looking them up, but no luck!

very helpful, now i have been able to confirm my own snail population as common pond, they are ok and grow real fast so they get taken out when i can catch them without doing any damage, i have had one becide my tank in a jam jar for two weeks now watching it grow, i change the water, very surprised how fast these things get around.
