Hello, my fish seem to be dieing randomly weekly and I do not know why. It happens very sudden, I don't notice any major change in behavior. I had a male swordtale die just randomly one day it seemed, he started swiming as if he had vertigo and then the currents would just take him alonge for a ride. In the weeks leading up to this, my female molly hybread had bullied and attacked the side of the fish but there was no visible wounds he just became lethargic. Two weeks before that my 2nd female molly hyberad died the same way. Two months ago, this didnt bother me at the time because i thought i diagnosed it correctly two female balloon mollies died of what i thought was swim bladder dissorder and a night in the filter.
My biggest issue is that I just found my Gourami attached to the side of my filter, and now shes all crooked, and one of her sides is impacted. Her feelers are northbound and her gills are red. Her behavior is normal apart from the 20 minute recovery she did on her side, she is now up and breathing air and stuff gouramis normally do.
7.2ph 0amonia 0 no2 and no3 water temp 78. Heavily planted with some algea problems and snails, but i dont see that as a fish killer... but frankly, i cant see anything in the tank that might harm my fish, so what im asking for is a little help.
Today i have am bringing water in to a local lfs to find out if its something i cannot see or i misread, doing a large water change 50%+ and cutting off some algea covered plants and trimming damaged leaves to make a neater aperiance.... is there anything else i should do? Aquarium salt? or what???
