Ok, on saturday morning I woke up and saw my female guppy swimming at the bottom of the tank, I thought she was going to give birth soon. So I turned my filter down to half way so it would be easier for her to rest. I then left to Canberra. I came home today (Sunday afternoon) and she is struggling to swim, like up to the surface then sank back down without a fight. I then spotted 1 baby guppy, I saved him. I noticed the sick guppy still looked REALLY fat and so I separated her, she only got worse. She stopped trying to swim, no fins moving at all. I then saw her at the bottom of the tank laying slightly on her side, I got the net and gently moved her, she didn't respond, at all. I figured she had died. I gave her the traditional fish burial. But now I'm wondering, why didn't she float? Was she really dead? Help please, I'm so upset... My first fish died today :(

Always check the gills are not moving.
R.I.P.

It didn't sound to good i'm afraid.
I thought the fry might of been pressing on the swim bladder, but it sounded like it was more than that.
How are the other fish doing.

That's good news then.
Sorry about the other guppy.
