My platie has something that looks like a scale sticking from the side. It's about 1-2mm wide and opaque. I t kinda looks like a line sticking out from the sidde of the body from under the scales, it sticks out at a 20 deg or so angle from the side. He isn't less active or anything, but the other 2 fish nip him there...could they have pulled up a scale or something??? :S I dunno. I looked at things describing fungus, but it's not cloudy and about as thick as a sheet of paper... my other fish are fine...about moving him to a hospital tank...if I should I have a 2.5 gal minnibow(extra tank I used to use), and I have a filter bag an' all for it), do I just add water from the main tank to that? Also, I don't have an extra heater ( kinda expensive is what my mom thinks)... so if I leave the light on for it...should it be ok? I'm fusterated ... everytime I have a tank everything looks good for'bout a month..then it all goes down hill from there.. :X If this helps, where it is, ithe scales seem to spread apart..(he has greenish-blackish scales over orange and you can see the orange coming out, if that makes sense). Maybe it's an ulcer, hope not, but it's not circular.. any input would be good, I don't think he's going to die right away  I might put up a pic, if i figure out how
I think i gotta pic in the members pics, if you can see it, that's about all i know.. thanx!!!
