Unipack Black Sand

Is the Unipack black sand 'real' sand or is it very fine gravel? I am looking at this and it says sand, but to me it looks like fine gravel.

Depends how zoomed in the pic is It is sand though, i've got a small bag of it i used in a 35 litre and the black limpopo sand is in my shelly tank. Both are nice.

Just found a good deal on limpopo. Is 12.5kg enough to cover a Vision 260? No planting planned.

Wahey! Got a bargain at chemist direct (have seen it linked here before), 25kg limpopo, express delivery (so will arrive tomorrow) for £28 and pennies. Bargain!

I thought it was cheap I'm happy, I would have otherwise bought the P@H Roman black gravel and that would have cost me £28 for two bags (16kg), so at least I get my sand for that price now.

Nah, getting sick of Argos sand. Shows all the poo within seconds. I'm only having it in my smaller tanks, where I can easily vac it. Plus as I am going to be using minnnt's beautiful grey-shaded rock, I wanted something black/grey. You see, the lady must colour-coordinate

Next MA is 30 miles away, add the cost of petrol and it would have been more. Plus, I can sit in my joggers and wait for my delivery tomorrow rather than stressing.

That's where I got my Limpopo black sand for my rio 400. I used 35kg and it was enough. I don't like it too deep. All in all though I love it

I needed the full 25kg in the end, so glad I invested into the big bag. Looks great, love it! And perfect for the malawis to dig in / move around.
