I found a baby fry in my tank today. So I put it in a breeder and that was the only one I could find. I have 1 pregnant black molly, 1 pregnant white molly and 2 pregnant platies. Who is the momma?

The reason that I suspect that it is a Platy is because Molly fry are typically a little larger when born and Silver molly fry would be more gray/white as opposed to creamy yellow.

ok yeah I think its a platy too. because you can't tell from the picture but it really is more of a cream or yellow color.

I vote platy, they have a very round head shape when born and usually taper back, mollies already have the pointed snout when they are born and the eyes are proportionately smaller. Also they have a less clearly defined lateral line, with usually more colour in the lower half of the body that disguises the lateral line, they look more developed when born and are larger, but grow slower.

Platy fry, I once had dozens of the little critters.

Its a platy...

Platy = short and stocky
Guppy= long and thin
Molly = slight larger than other frylong and stocky
endler= long and thin
swrodtails= short and stocky but distinctive shape.

Thanks everybody. my little guy is doing good. I still have trouble finding him in the litlle box.
