Unfortunate Loss, Wonderful Gain

So, I had a beautiful multi color Veiltail betta. Light sky blue, white, some pink, very nice. somewhat of a mutt, but I loved him.

So, after the huge tank disaster that happened, I stupidly put the betta in the 10 gallon with just some changing water and not medicating the tank. Result? Me losing the betta.... My stupid mistake... may he rest in peace...

So moving on, after moving all but the money weed out, In has come my new buddy...

A black and blue crowntail. It's amazing what you can find when you look through ALL the bettas in the cup. And when he flares he has some red on him. But the black is what suprised me. I've been looking for a betta with black in the fins for ages... but at petsmart?

I'll get pics when I get a camera, Which I plan to use to take pics of my main tank, the betta, and myself, as I haven't had a pic in a year or so.

I know what you're talking about. I saw a beautiful yellow male in Petsmart. The problem is that they're not always in the best condition.
