Received a lovely gift through the post today! Ahhh a PCB no less - cheers Andy!

Right getting the components on, measured the voltage across 1000uF capacitor C2 and it measure 28vDC.... You said to shout if it goes above 20vDC

Oooo. It works so far then. 28V ok, there is no load on it, just checking that you were gunna check......

Right, quick update!

All the components (baring the POT, switch, 10k resistor - forgot to buy that one and link wires) have been soldered onto the board. Will try and pick of those components/wires today!

Andy done an amazing job with the board, its near perfect. Voltages across capacitors and IC's checks out. No pics yet as I finished it late last night but will get some tonight.

You don't have to have the 10K resistor in, you could short it out, that is to say use a piece of linking wire instead. Its is used to simply ensure that there is at least a minimum on-time when the POT is set fully anticlockwise of 1.1 seconds (in hindsight, I think 10.1 secs would have been better, i.e. make this value 100K).

Got the resistor, another connector block, buzzer thing and wire so tonight should be able to pull the relay apart and kill myself... Wiring is fun

So I put a chip in the wrong way around despite checking the drawings a million times, chip is now fried. Luckily I'm still alive (body is), christ this is like an episode from "Some Mothers Do Ave Em"

Anyway, Andy is picking up the pieces - I'm sending everything to him and he is going to sort it so big thanks to Underwurlde

The one in the picture above is a Aqua Digital Water Level Controller, this is selling for £79 so at £40 - thats an unreal price - where did you see that one and is it def new?

The alternative is a Tunze Osmolator which is selling at £99 (others do it for £119!?!?).

The other market offering is the SP3000 which is selling for £78.99
