Just thought I'd share a photo as I've never seen this before. It seems one of my guppy fry must have died during the night and two of my shrimp are feasting on him.

They love to munch anything that can't get out of their way. Even their brethren, just try not to let them eat any of your own shrimp that may die of old age etc, it can start diseases such as White Muscle (and a bunch of other common names).

Good to know. I was told to let them eat the shell they shed though.

Shrimp just doing their job :good: The fish to the left looks quite mortified though.. lol
The molts are quite harmless for them to eat and a good source of protein..
wouldn't leave them more than a day if not consumed though.
Never heard the White Muscle disease being from eating passed shrimp.. learn something everyday..

By the way... that baby was consumed completely in about 15 minutes!

Yeah Cherries can consume a reasonable size fish in a night if you have enough of them.

The shell of the shrimp (when shed) is fine for the shrimp to eat it is just the corpses of fellow shrimp you need to try and not let them eat.
