Under Gravel Filter.....do I Need One?

Hi there,

I am regutting one of my fish tanks that currently has white sand in, if i replace this with gravel, would i need a undergravel filter plate?
I have a jewel 125.
Would this benifit me?

nahh i wouldnt get an undergravel filter. they collect nitrites and cause all sort of problems with you tank. stick with the standard internal or external filter

Undergravel Filters are realy a thing of the past. If you have a Hood filter thats enough.
