Well as anyone who know me knows I now have a five gallon tank with baby gobies in it. The problem is is that the tanks previous inhabitants are in the middle tank(20g). Where the kribs are being agressive and i feel the filter maybe overloaded ( though water tests for ammonia and nitrate are fine) What i was thinking of doing is:
Option A: buy small tank (2-3gallon) with heater and air pump driven corner filter and put the baby gobies in there by carefully catching them in a glass. Then returning the original habitants back to their 10 gallon tank.
Option B: buy a bigger filter for the middle tank(20g) and hope the kribs don't beat everyone up. Think it has a fluval 2 or 3 at the moment. and Leaving babies in the (10g) tank they are in.
My boyfriend wants to leave everything as it is but i feel this could be cruel considering we have lost 1 baby plec :-( and a couple of babies recently in the 20g. (they were in a fry net and should have been fine)
Or are there any other ideas out there that will work on a limited budget?? :/

You can set up a 3 - 5G tank for less than £30.

3G clearseal tank (petsmart or LFS) - around £10
mini submersable filter (or under gravel filter) - up to £15

Heater is not really needed in a tank this size as long as you keep it somewhere where the temperature doesnt fluctuate greatly. I have 3G tank with a betta in that stays at a steady 23 in my room.

Ben
