Hey all ...

I have a pretty strange problem ...

I have a 63g tropical setup with some plants, quarts and a piece of driftwood.

I must admit I haven't paid much attention 2 this tank in possibly 2-3 weeks due 2 me moving and dealing with my other tank which is coming with me.

I noticed today that 3 tetra's and my angel have developed ulcers, I did a water change and have put the 4 fish into quarantine where I treated them with something similar 2 general aid. (says helps for ulcers)

What could suddenly (2-3 week sudden) bring on ulcers ????

My tank readings are :
Ammonia, Nitrite : 0
Nitrates : 25ppm
P.H. : 6.8

All information will be appreciated.

Thinking back to when I 1st got the tank up and running (after cycling), I had a gourami that died from an ulcer but that was loooooong ago ...

Thanks in advace.

Regards,
Richard

They could've been attacked by other fish but i think that's unlikely
Ulcers are usually a bacterial infection. You need to treat with something strong as the infections are usually far on when ulcers appear

Hey there ...

I treated with the strongest stuff I had on hand ... unfortunately they never made it.

Thanks for the info though.

Regards,
Richard
