My biggest male convict has had some "issues" over the last 8-10 weeks, developing pinkish (sometimes sore) looking patches on the bit where his anal fin meets the main part of his lower body. He also devleops pinky lumps on one of his pectoral fins. It sometimes disappears on its own, but always comes back.

Fish doesnt show any signs of distress (rubbing etc), he is the "boss" in the tank really, so being picked on isn't an issue.

I have had him for about 9 months and he's never had issues before.

No signs if illness in tank as a whole. I test every week, never any ammonia or nitrite in tank. Nitrate varies between 30-60 mg/l

pH approx 7.5, temp 78-81 F

No other fish has this issue

Getting a bit more concerned now, as his anal fin has slightly come away from his main body, almost like it's "rotting"

My research tells me its an Ulcer and bacterial related. Sorry but i dont have pics.

I am thinking about King British Meds, as it contains Malachite Green and Acriflavine which both have anti bacterial properties (especially Acriflavine)

What do peeps think? recommend? ever had this issue yourself?

just recently my stingray had a strange unidentified ulcer looking thing on her gill i treated her with melafix for 4 days and it has totally cleared up.
id recommend melafix its the buisness

The lump on the fins does it look like a cluster of berries or a cauliflower.
Can you isolate him as he's got a bacterial infection if the ulcers things look like there rotting away which will develope into a hole.

thanks peeps

Wilder - more cauliflower, what do you think? yes i could isolate him
