UK sources for EI ingredients

I've managed to source all three main ingredients -

Potassium nitrate (KNO3) link
Potassium phosphate (KH2PO4) link
Potassium sulphate (K2SO4) link

 I really need to jump onto the E.I. bandwagon so I've started by ordering the ferts. Truly sick death of my hair algae :grr:

It's the running battle against Black Beard Algae that's made mind up Bloo.

Soul detroying clearing that gunk out of the tank every night.

Are you sure you need to dose nitrates and phosphates? Sorry to ask, I'm unfamiliar with your set-up.

:*) uhm not sure. I will have to re-check my Phosphate, but when I took the readings of the two planted tanks they were at least 3 - but could possibly have been more as they were off chart

But since then I've ripped out almost all the Vallis in the one tank (or should I say bunches of hair :X - trimming the hair off every day just seemed to have encouraged it to grow even faster !) and replaced it with stem plants (red leaves but can't remember what the plants were called). Interestingly enough the Riccia covered pieces of slate seem fine and untouched by algae :dunno:

I've added another Hagen CO2 unit to the 20 gallon as the 1 just didn't seem to do the trick - but that could be because I need to play around with the dosing of sugar / yeast. The one unit on it's own did bring down the pH from 8.2 to 7.4 within a matter of days. And though the second unit has been up and running for a number of days now, I see little difference (if any) in my pH readings.

kH still 11 and gH 17. Nitrates around the 15 / 20 mark.

Anyway, don't want to hijack this thread but I will recheck all my stats, do my reading this weekend and then when I have the ferts, start a diary thread :)
