Anyone know of a good UK based website that sells good quality, fairly priced plants? Somwhere that will preferable sell a variety of plants in a batch preferably....

Another good place is www.thegoldfishbowl.co.uk. You can't buy from the web site, just look at it to choose what you want and ring them up with your order. They do bunches and pots. The plants I got from them were amazing - very large, healthy and excellently packaged. All are still going strong (actually gonna have to get the machete out soon) and having lots of baby plants.

Java.com is probably a lot cheaper, but if you don't want to wait for little plants to grow, if you want big plants straight away then the Goldfish Bowl is the place for you!

Hmm, I've looked at all the sites so far, and the Java & greenline collections seem the best value for money. Has anyone bought these before?? If so which ones do you recommend?

I brought the economy selection(80 plants) £9.45 + postage
so far only two have not lived.

Hmmmm, I was looking at the potted plants, What really is the difference, appart from the obvious? :p

Potted plants are usually a lot bigger, more 'settled' and in my experience have much better established root systems. I'm no expert, but I always buy potted if possible.

There's a huge price difference between them - £16.95 for 9 potted and £9.70 for 65 Tropical plants.

I bought a load of plants from greenline, my own selection rather than a set selection. Very pleased with them. I wouldn't bother with potted plants unless its a particular specimen plant your after.
