The frogbit in my pond has started to appear. Obviously it is not the usual Amazon Frogbit as it is seasonal outside here in the UK but I planned to drop a bit in my tank. Does anyone have any definite reasons why I shouldn't.

I'll take that as a no then.

I'll let you know how it goes.

If your pond is healthy, I don't see why not, but you could introduce something into your tank that you don't want

Be sure to check that frogbit carefully. You don't want to introduce any insects or dragonfly larvae with the plants. I have tanks covered with frogbit but it is not for everyone. Some people like it no better than duckweed.
