She has some white spots on her. Although she is active the spots are quite visible. and hen I bought her her gills looked sort of silvery, and one of them appeared... I dunno larger than the other? Since she was behaving normally I let it slide. But just today I saw the numerous spots.

What do I do.

I currently have her iscolated in a small bowl... I have the water level fairly low because there's no filter or anything. She's swimming along just fine in it and can breathe pretty easy... doesn't seem to mind. Should I just keep her here and wait? Does she have ich? When fish have ich don't they act lethargic? What can anyone tell me? :dunno:

It's a couple hours later and she is noticeable less active. Poor girl.
I could use some help here, people.

Do you have a quarentine tank and ick medication? All the advice I can give is, if it's ick, put her in her own tank and follow the directions on the ick medication. Hope everything turns out ok.

Does this bowl have a heater? Because you'll need to turn up the temperature to around 86 or so, and then since it's so warm in there, she'll need more oxygen. So airstones are good. I'd add some salt, and if you want to, try some Ich medication.

There's tons of threads on ich, so you can see what other people did. :)

White Spot Threads

And another very good ich thread: ICH

Hope she feels better soon!

The bowl doesn't have a heater, but I have a nice bright desklamp shining behind the bowl. So she's alright. The water is quite low and she's breathing just fine.
I woke up this morning and I counted 6 babies in the bowl!!! That explained her lethargic behavior at the end of the night. I've rtansfered four to the breeding trap in the other tank already. Lost sight of the others. I'll updte everyone on the fry sigthings and such over the next few days. :*) And her spots... seem less numerous.....

The water temperature is at 86, just from the light? Okay. Keep it that way for a while, because while the spots may look like they are going away, they will most likely come back. Also, try treating with the ich medication now. :)

It's at about 81.

I'll see to the medication when I can.

Because my dad is out of town.
and my mom refuses to help me with my fish.
