When i bought my first 2 Clown loaches they were fighting like mad, mainly at feeding times. So a few weeks ago i got a 3rd to calm things down and it worked, all 3 were swimming round with only the a minor sqwobble every now and then. But now one of the first lot of the loaches is by its self, gone very thin compared to the others, dont think its eating and darts off if one of the others comes near it! And now the other 2 are at each other, mainly showing off but sometimes it gets serious, there mouths will lock together. Im more worried about the the lonely one, what can i do for it?

I love Clown Loaches, they are one of, if not my favourite Fish  I have 4....

Is you Clown getting really thin ? As there is a disease that Clowns can suffer from, i think its called Skinny Disease, and i read a post about it on here the other day, i didnt know up till then about it myself.

About the feeding, cant you spread it out over the tank, so perhaps your smaller Loach gets some food, and the bigger ones go to the other end of the tank ?

What are you feeding them?

Sorry im not much help, ive never had any problems with my Clowns at all, they all get along fine, so its hard for me to give you advice, but im sure, somone will come to your rescue soon....

Good Luck

can you issolate the skinny clown?
if so do it. that way you can make sure it eats.
I suggest that you feed it live foods like bloodworm, tubifex and BBS.
Also try to get hold of a high protein food like JMC Catfish Pellets (48% protein)

they all have a varied diet including bloodworm, tubifex, cucumber, pelets ect. Its has picked up the bloodworm and even flake food but just spits it back out. Yes the one im worried about is getting on the thin side.
