I have two pregnant platys. After looking on other sections of TFF I purchased a breeding net. Looks like it was just in time as I put it in the tank last night added my two platys and today one produced fry. My questions are
How long can I keep the two females together?
Is it a good idea to have them together?
Are there any pitfalls I can prevent?

You should only put the female in there when she is about to give birth, it's a pretty stressful experience being cooped up in such a small space, as it would be for a human. Once she has finished birthing, you should release her.

With the fry, feed a little and often (3/4 times per day).

Make sure you have an outlet for the fry - either in terms of additional tank space at home, or someone who will happily take 30+ fry per month per female on an ongoing basis.
