Hi, I've got around 5 angels in my tank all bought at different times. this morning i noticed 2 of my metallic silver angels i bought together are chasing the other fish and also seem to have a go at each other too.

Are they pairing up or are they just being mean? I haven't noticed them doing this before today.

First of all, how big is your tank? Second of all, you said you added them at different times? Not a good idea. The Angels that are chasing everything may be pairing off. How big are they? Also are the Aggressive angels the first angels you added?

ok well this is what i'm finding confusing because its a 180 litre tank and the two that are doing it weren't the first two i added. the first one i added use to push a few of them around a rarely but it didn't really cause a problem.

i haven't noticed them doing this before this morning. 2 days ago i added a full dose of peat extract to my tank aswell as changing the regular peat in my filter. but this is all i've really changed lately.

They're around 3 inches tall from top to bottom fins.

My angels established their pecking ages ago but they still chase eachother from time to time, especially at feeding time but thats normal but they dont harm eachother.

Are the actually damaging the other angels or just chasing them?

How long have you had them?

i'd say i've had the first one for about 3 months, the second 2 for like a month and a half and the other 2 for about 2 weeks.

When they chase i can't see them actually doing damage other than maybe stressing the others out.

Look for their tubes being ou/down which is a good sign you have a pair wanting to spawn. If you do have a pair you will either have to move them or remove the other angels to get a spawn and to prevent serious agression issues.
