Ummm my oldest fry are now almost 5 months old. But like half of them never developed bellies and just look like regular mollies. Anyone know what's up?

If you're not keeping them with regular mollies but you've had them for less then 5 mo., perhaps they bred with reg mollies at the lfs./.

hi

wat ALASKA sed isnt true(im not tryin to be mean) Mollys dont have to have pure breed potbellys. all fry come out different. e.g i had 2 non fancy guppys and they bred and they had long finned fancy guppys.

My balloon molly babies look regular too,but I also have a regular male and a balloon male. I can only guess who daddy is. :shifty:

Well at the lfs there were only balloon mollies in the tank.

I know they are made by inbreeding regular mollies so I guess technically they are just regular mollies...

The mollies could just have not developed their pot bellies yet or maybe they just aren't balloon mollies.

my balloon molly has developed many forms of babies. ranging from orange to black, i have regular, potbellies and what LOOKS to be sailfins. i know that you cant tell sailfins from others until about 6 months but the fins seem a bit longer. they could be lyretail.
