Just wondering how these guys are with crustaceans. i added a few new hermits yesterday and noticed that my hogfish was showing great interest in them, even nipped at the legs on one of them.

Cheers.

Is the scientific name Bodianus bimaculatus? I know this species as the candy hogfish, known to be reef-safe, but not all fish abide by the rules.

Yer, thats the one. I read that they were "reef safe":shifty: too. Just seeing if anyone has had any problems with them.
Two shells belonging to yesterdays hermits were found empty today, so either they both changed homes, or they have become food for something.

Cheers.

I've never had one personally, but I have friends who do and have never had a problem with them. You probably just got the one with the daring personality.
