Hi all,

Here's some pics of my Juwel's (sold my Biorb 60L and bought a second Vision).

This is the 1st (and original) tank:

...and the 3 Amigo's which share various homes within it:

...and this is the 2nd (newest) tank which I decided to make a Lake Malawi tank (current occupants x6 Red Zebra's, x6 Cobalt Blue Zebra's, x6 Yellow Labs, and 1 Metangula Afra (who was a freebie as he's only got one eye - planning on getting him some female company shortly).

Lovely tanks. awwww at the Afra

Awwww is exactly what I thought, especially when I learnt that when young he had leapt from the Lake Malawi tank into the Lake Tanganyika tank and lived there for a bit (believe that's how he lost the eye). However, he's already taken the "best" spot in the tank as far as he's concerned, and is the quickest swimmer in there, lol.

Awwww bless its heart, you will have to get him some females for all his surviving. have you a close pic of him? I love Afras but I dont know if they would be compatable with my brood.

I sure do (he's the one in the middle, just below the top Yellow Lab) :)

nice fish though, is that angel in the middle a marble angel? because i have 2 that look just like that.

The Frontosa probably will do, but from what I understand they are fairly slow growers (he/she's only about 3.5/4" at the moment) - I know enough people with larger tanks if and when it comes to it (would never keep a fish in a tank that it's unsuitable for eventually, wouldn't be fair). Truth be told, when I bought it I didn't have much of a clue just how big it could get (and of course the lfs didn't mention it - even though they know the size of my tank!).

Not sure about the Angel - does look marbled though.

it should be in with the other malawis too. its an african cichlid.

Are you sure? I've read that it's from Lake Tanganyika, not Malawi (although could be kept with Malawi's - I wouldn't keep it with mine though, they're too small at the moment).

sorry, my bad.

meant to say its an african cichlid.

it will jus prefer that water is all.

See what you're saying - it's currently in the right setup waterwise, right temp, hardness etc. :)

Just wouldn't add it with my African Cichlid's from Lake Malawi as it would probably one day view them as lunch !
