Twig Catfish

We bought a twig catfish yesterday from our LFS, where he said they will quite often be hidden.
Ours however, has been sitting on the front glass pretty much since,
Is this normal behaviour?
I'm slightly worried, or maybe it just hasn't found somewhere to call home yet.
We are re-doing the substrate and plan to have slate allover, building up slate caves to house our plec, and the twiggy, and we will have planted sand areas too.
do you think its just cos he hasnt really had the chance to call somewhere home yet??
We have some mopani in there already, but its not very big, about 8".
We have a huge piece we are putting in though, so he will be spoilt for choice!

It probably needs to settle in. Is this a Farlowella? makes sure it gets plenty of TLC and food as they sometimes waste away in a community tank.

yeah nice one, cool.
we use plec pellets, and flakes and frozen food for other tank mates...

A relative had one in his tank. It looked great but rarely moved, was stuck to the filter body and stayed there!
It think it ventured out during lights out to feed as it did grow. That may be best time to feed it.
