Turning Tank

My uncle is giving me 3 fancy tailed guppys to turn my tank. (1 male 2 female of course) i was wondering if that would be enough fish to turn my tank. thanks for anyhelp you can give.

hi,
what do you mean by turn?
if you mean cycle guppies are not a good fish to cycle with,
i dont think they would last long,they would not take high nitrite levels well at all,
ive only just been able to keep them alive in a tank thats 5months old.

yeah get you uncle to keep the guppies and get some zebra danios to cycle your tank with,
then add the guppies

If you really want guppies get your uncle to bag up some of the filter media from the tank they come from & put this in your filter.
