So i went to petco the other day to pick up a few needed things. i was browsing in their massive food section and was amazed at all the foods, supplements, enhancers, and treats we can give our fish.

i already feed my community fish the following

tetracolor
tetramin pro health
shrimp pellets
agae wafers
bloodworms (twice a week, fed as a whole meal)

i looked over the long aisle of foods and picked up tubifex worms.

does anybody have any experience with them? my fish go crazy for them so are they more as a treat or a daily staple?

feeding time is the most enjoyable moment i have with my fish and im sad it only comes twice a day. i am noticing difference in color fed fish and non color fed fish. also its amazing to watch as your fish mature. my tiger barbs are getting huge and my zebra danios are filling out nicely with beautiful color.

Feed all mine tubifex - they love em - the silver dollars swim around for hours with them hanging out their gills, they are such pigs!!

My tiger barbs go mad for tuberflex and bloodworms. I give the platies a few every meal

I recently switched from live to frozen. I could get a week's worth for $1, but the store was bought by a new owner and they stopped carrying it. My fish went berzerk for the live stuff. I watched my peacock goby spend a solid hour trying to swallow the ten or so he crammed into his mouth.

Personally, I would feed this more as a treat every week or so. It is VERY high in protien.
