what light tubes should i use for a planted tank?

im using t8 tubes (i think) about an inch thick)

i have a 47 inch tank with 2 floresent 36 watt tubes which are power glo and aqua glo

1)what other tube would be the best to use?

(if not any good (i need to change them in 2 months time)

2)what 3 tubes would be best

the tank is about 15 inch deep

thanks

You could add a flora glo tube, this tube is specifically made for plants and my plants look great under them

Check out the pinned lighting thread for good examples of T8 tubes available in the UK.

I like Interpet Triplus to bring out reds and blues. Arcadia Freshwater for greens and Interpet Daylight Plus for a good "full" colour rendition. All of these IME are superior to the Hagen "Glo" product line.
